(These cells are in a time format)
I am trying to make b:1 blank if a:1 contains "*:57" in the time. But also want to make b:1 blank if a:1 is blank.
Please help.
Thanks.

Hi

Does "*:57" indicate minutes or seconds?
If it's minutes then try this:
=IF(OR(A1="",MINUTE(A1)=57),"","YourTextHere")
