I have a workheet with the following columns
(Column A)=AccountName, (Column B)=OrderNumber, (Column C)=OrderDate

One AccountName can have multiple OrderNumbers and OrderDates

I would like to find the first order date for each AccountName and populate (Column D)=FirstOrderDate

TIA

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
You could use subtotals...
Sort by account number

Subtotal- at each change in account number, Min Order Date

=INDEX(Sheet1!$C$2:$C$100,MATCH(A2,Sheet1!$A$2:$A$100,0))

where C2:C100 houses account dates on Sheet1 and A2:A100 account names, while A2 on Sheet2 houses an account name of interest.
