I have a workbook with two sheets. I have names listed on sheet 1 in column A and names listed on sheet 2 in column A. I would like to find the matches. Any help is appreciated

Something like this.
Sheet 1Sheet 2

Susan PattMichael PattFound

Michale PattMary Jones
 

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
How about
Excel Formula:
=IF(COUNTIFS(Sheet1!A:A,A2),"Match","No match")
