Hi, I have a list of raw data, ticket numbers. Each row can be coded with several types of categories. I would like to find the max number of the top 5 or 10 issues w/out defining the categories.

So as the data changes throughout the month, the top categorie would always be at the top of the list with the count of ticket numbers next to it.

Any ideas?

I want to do it in a formula, I was thinking a helper pivot table and I can sort it by top category then simply pull in the value but don't want to use a pivot table.

Thanks

Could you provide a small sample along with the desired results, say, for a Top 3 list?
