I need a formula or named constant that can look for a particular value in a row (such as "hi") and then return the value of the cell in row 1 directly above.

In plain english; look for the text "hi" in a row, then return the value of the cell in that same column but in row 1.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
