What formula should I use to put a "Yes" in a cell if a matching cell is found in a column range of entries? example:

in cell G12 there is an entry: C12345678
If that is found in a column of entries elsewhere in the same spreadsheet, return "Yes", otherwise return "No"

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
How about
=IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(G12,A2:A100,0)),"Yes","No")

Change A2:A100 to match your column of entries.
