Hello,

I am trying to find the average of range of cells, but I only want the 7 highest numbers in a range of ten numbers.

can anyone please help with a formula.....

thank you very much

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Perhaps:

=AVERAGE(LARGE($A$1:$A$10,ROW(INDIRECT("1:7"))))

Confirm with CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER, rather than just Enter.
