I have a spread sheet which I am working on and want to be able to say if a certain letter is entered into a cell it returns a certain value

W=3 points
D=1 point
L=0 points

so if

a1=W
a2=L
a3=W
a4=D
a5=W
a6=L
a7=W
a8=W

a9 would contain the answer which should be 16

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
