First time I noticed this problem when copying cells

When I select a multiple area range and try to copy the selection I get an error saying I can't carry out thie copy command with multiple areas !

Note that if the areas are on the same Row or same Column it works fine.

Is this normal ? I am asking because i can't believe that after so many years of using excel i've never come accross this problem.
