Hi
I'm trying to create a VB script in Excel that is able to take the first word in a cell (ie firstname surname) as a variable and then use it later. Can someone point me to the right commands I should use and preferably a bit of code.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Code:
Sub test()
Dim firstname As String

With Range("A1")
    firstname = Left(.Value, WorksheetFunction.Find(" ", .Value) - 1)
End With
End Sub
