Hi Everybody

I have this simple worksheet function:

=IF(L7="OPEN",CONCATENATE(D7," ","OPEN BOOK"),D7)

How do I make the "OPEN BOOK" part in RED and BOLD?

thank you

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Sorry, a formula cannot format a cell.

You could use Conditional Formatting.

Try like this

Excel Workbook
DEFGHIJKL
1Fred OPEN BOOK
2
3
4
5
6
7FredOPEN
8
9
Sheet6
Cells with Conditional Formatting
CellConditionCell FormatStop If True
J11. / Formula is =RIGHT(J1,9)="OPEN BOOK"Abc

But conditional formating won't make "OPEN BOOK" red and leave "FRED" black, in the text string "FRED OPEN BOOK".
