Format part of text

Hello, i was hoping someoen could help me please.

I have typed some text into a cell, for arguement sake "Please click here".

I highlighted the word "here" and formatted the text so that it was a different colour and underlined. For some reason it shows that this text is formatted but when i click off the cell the text goes back to automatic with no formatting.

Anyone got an idea? Im lost

I should mention sorry that my formatting shows in the cell when i am clicked in the formula bar. anything clicked outside of that makes the cell return to standard black text with no underline.

I've just realised that the cell was formatted to 'Accounting'!?!?!

Set to text and all ok.

This is the worst thread ever.............
