Hi There

Please help, I need to format a list of my numbers to show in millions.

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.

I'm not sure if some of your reply was cut out, All i see is use paste special

Do i need to type something and copy then paste special on top of all the numbers ?

Please forgive my in experience in excel.

try this

first put 1000000 in one cell and copy this using control+C
then select range cell you want to convert to millions.
goto paste special dialog box and select divide
click ok

now you can clearly see all the selected the range is converted into millions

An example of what you expect to see in the cell would have helped. Just guessing here... if you have 12345678, you would want to see 12.3M. To do that, Custom Format the cell using this pattern...

0.0,,"M"

Those commas are what are doing the main work.

if you want the 1000000 to look 1,000,000 use this format #,##
If you want the 1000000 to Look 1"M" use #,,"M" as Rick Rothstein suggestion
