Is there any way to keep and save a particular format that you might use in a column in Excel 2007? In other words, if I click on Column A and format it for Currency £ and 2 decimal places everything that is in Column A currently then shows as £**.**. However if I then paste some other figures into column A from another worksheet, they remain with old format rather than being converted.
I hope I have explained this well enough and would be grateful for any assistance.

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
yogeshmaney - thanks for your reply. I can see how it works if I enter numbers in cells within the column but if I copy some cells from another worksheet and then paste them into this column - it keeps the formatting from the old sheet and doesn't convert it.
So, on the 1st worksheet I have column A formatted with currency £ and 2 decimal places. If I now go to the 2nd worksheet and copy a cell that has a "general" format and then paste this into Column A on the 1st sheet it stays as 12 rather than £12.00 which is what I'm trying to achieve. Any other suggestions?!

Option 1 : Copy and paste as special. And select format and value option
Option 2 : Copy and paste. and Use Format Painter Tool.
