Formatting Dates

Morning

I have used Today()-A1 to bring back the number of days elapsed since a specified date and this has gone into B1. I've formatted this as yy to just show the years but I need this value included in C1 to show "B1 years", using =B1&" years" I get a completely different value.

Any help please, or a shorter version would be appreciated..
