I am trying to format one cell with a percentage that can vary: Please help me on this topic

can you explain a bit further what you mean by a percentage format that can vary? Perhaps an example would help to clarify what you need.

In general, you can right click on the cell ---> format cells --> you can either set it to percentage or you can set it to custom and create your own format. You can use Excel Help or browse the net to find explanations on how to use custom formating.
