# Formula countif

OK.

I have a formula that counts a range of cells with dates in and counts if older than a given date =COUNTIF(C2:C207, "<=20/01/2004")

The thing is that the range of cells is also split into 3 different types. Desktop, Laptop, Server. Can you put more arguments into the Countif function?

### Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
CountIf allows just one condition. For multiconditional counting you need a different formula like one with SumProduct. What is it that you want to count?

you could always string together your countif's, but aladins sumproduct sounds best suited - much faster.
