I am a newly registered guy on Mr Excel and have been following Mr Excel for some time. I must say his dedication to the Excel cause has been exemplary.

Now my Question.

I have 12 subjects and 40 students.

The 12 subjects have different credit hours, some have 5 credit hours, others 10 or 15 credit hours to a totaling 120 credit hours for the whole year.

A student who gets 50% in the examination obtains all the credit hours for the subject (I.e If a student gets 50% and above in all subjects, he/she gets 120 credit hours). I need to see how to formulate a formula that looks up the students marks, finds out which subjects are below 50%, looks up for the credit hours of the subject below 50% and deducts them from the 120 hours.

How can I do it.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
