Formula for addressing final cells in columns

I have three columns (B, C, D) all with figures in, and I'd like a formula to give me the total value of the last filled cell in each column. (Let's say for instance I have six entries in each, obviously it would be SUM(B6+C6+D6), but I am going to keep adding values monthly into each column, so I need that reference point to move down a row with each time it is filled in
