In the process of collecting data and I'm far from competent with excel. Measurements are performed twice unless the values are not within 20% of each other (numerical values). If not within 20%, testing is repeated up to 5 times. For efficiency purposes, we are trying to figure out a way for excel to automatically calculate the percentage of the two closest values each time a new value is added. I had no issues with up to 3 trials - just used =(((LARGE(A1:C1,2)/LARGE(A1:C1,1)))-1)*-100 and the same for the smallest values. With 4-5 trials this doesn't work though if the the numbers that are the closest to each other are not the 2 largest or smallest in the range.
So far I've only found posts that talk about formulas requiring already established reference values, but since we're collecting data and are trying to get the percentage calculated as we go, I wasn't able to make those functions work. I'd greatly appreciate any help!
