Formula Function Verification

Hello,

I'd appreciate any verification/help with a formula I've written to do two things at once.

Here's the formula: =IF(AND(OR(X<>" ",Y<>" "),X>Y),"!"," ")

Here's the goal: if neither cell X OR Y are blank AND cell X is greater than cell Y, show me !.

Your formula is not testing the cells for being blank. It's testing the cells to see if they contain space characters.

To test for empty/blank cells:

=IF(AND(OR(X<>"",Y<>""),X>Y),"!","")
