Hi

Can someone please help me with a formula that I can use to achieve the following result.

A value of 1-5 in cell ref C21

In cell ref C19 I have a value that is driven by the user e.g. 4

In cell ref T4:X4 I have the numbers 1 -5 as a heading
In cell ref T5:X5 I have the numbers 2.62, 2.94, 3.27, 3.60 & 3.92

What I need to happen is that the value of C19 is compared against cell ref T5:X5 and depending on the value it will then return a value of 1-5 (cell ref T4:X4 ), so in the example above the value of C21 would be 5 as C19 (4) is greater than "X5" (3.92).

If C19 was 3 then C21 would be 2 or another example if C19 was 1 then C21 would be 1.

if you haven't already guessed it's for target tracking :)

Hopefully the above makes sense as I'd really appreciate some help.

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Try:
Remove the space after "< "

Code:
=IF(C19< T5,T4,LOOKUP(C19,$T$5:$X$5,$T$4:$X$4))
