Hi,

So here is one for all you formula geniuses out there.

I have a sheet with 10000 rows. In colume A there are index numbers, 1 through 85. each number indicates that a row is a part of a specific group.

now what i want is a formula that will add the whole range f3:f10000 but only the rows with a value of 1 in colume A.

Well, there it is, Hope that makes sense. My original thought was to use a VLOOKUP but then i realized i have no idea how to add the sum function to the formula. a VBA solution would be fine if anyone out there knows how to do that.

Thanks,
RK

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Use the SUMIF function

=SUMIF(A3:A10000, 1, F3:F10000)

This will sum the values in column F when column A (same row) equals 1
