I have created the following formula:

=1/((1/C35)+(1/D35)+(1/E35)+(1/F35)+(1/G35)+(1/H35)+(1/I35)+(1/J35))

It works as planned, but want to know how to make this work if I have less than the 8 inputs. Sometimes my problems will only have 3 or 5 inputs. I get a division error now.

Thanks

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
So if there isn't an entry, do you just not want to include that part in your calc?

If so, try converting each part like this:
change (1/C35)
to IF(C35,1/C35,0)
(repeat for each part)

Barry,

Nice solution! I don't know why I didn't think of Arrays. It certainly does tidy the formula up a bit, doesn't it?
