Formula Help

Hi Guys.

In Column M I have a number and so too in Column N. In Column Q, I want it to return either T,O or X, depending on whether or not M2>N2, M2<N2 or M2=N2 correspondingly. What's the formula I need to achieve this?

Not sure what you want as the formula got cut off due to using > and < and not putting spaces(don't ask, thats just the way the board is?), but maybe something like:


=if(m2>n2,"T",if(m2<N2,"O","X"))< p> < n2,"O","X"))

It looks as if the forum has eaten part of your question, put spaces before and after < or > to stop this happening.

Your problems seems incomplete, could you specify you want returned as I got so far

=IF(M2>N2,"T",IF(M2????<N2,"O","X"))

Sorry guys was not aware of this problem. Here's my problem;

Try

=IF(M2>N2,"T",IF(M2<N2,"O",IF(M2=N2,"X","")))

And fill down
