having trouble with formula to total Time start/time End/Total Time, then to have a column with Total time -1 hour.
All I'm getting is cells filled with ######### and will not total at the bottom
unless I delete all unused Cells.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
No, the formula I'm using is =SUM(E2:E7)

I don't know how to screen cap the form like you did, or I would I would show
you how I have the table lined out.

Basically I'm taking a start time & ending time, getting a total.
then subtracting 1 hour for a second total.

Any jobs that we have that take over an hour to complete is paid extra.
So I needed a way to track that extra time per job over an hour.

I hope I explained that well enough...LOL

Here is the form the best I can do it:

Start Time End Time Total Time Total -1 Hour
8:00 9:15 1:15 :15
10:00 12:30 2:30 1:30

This box is working fine------------^

This box will not total the -1 hour column -------------^

Does this make any sense at all....LOL

Are you a bit shy? What is your actual formula? If it generates a negative value you will get #####

This is the format I'm trying to use. As you can see, if there is no data
5,6, and 7 fields I get the pound signs and the E9 total box is an incorrect
total E2 thru E7.
