Formula Instead of Results

I am running 2007. I have a spreadsheet with working formulas. When I edit some of the formulas and exit the cell, the formula remains instead of the result. The other formulas continue to display the results.

Note - CTRL + Tilda does not bring it back.

This is driving me nuts.

Sounds like the cells have been formatted as text. Try converting them to General, then if you don't have a lot of them, just F2-->Enter to apply the format. If you have a lot you can use Data-->Text to Columns-->Finish.
