First time poster driven by the frustation of knowing the answer to a question but unable to explain how i know.... here goes nothing!

I am trying to express / illustrate a value/weight to a sequence of values that contain sub sections and sub sub section on a tender response document..
example:
10 sections - variable values equalling 100%
section 1 - worth 40%
section 1.1 - worth 80% (of the 40%)
Q1 - worth 55% (of the 80%)
Q1 - worth 25% (of the 80%)
Q1 - worth 20% (of the 80%)

Section 1.2 - worth 20%
ditto.....

so, in essence, what i want to acheive is what % of 100% is Q1, Q2 etc so as to allow me to indicate the importance/ weight each responce warrants and how much effort should be apportioned to it.

id welcome some help

Thanks

Marc

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Just mutiply. Q3 is worth 20%*80%*40% = 6.4%
