formula macros question

Hi I'm new to VBA and I'm currently stuck while doing one of my exercises. It state to record a macro that copies formulae and pastes them as values and preserves their format. I don't quite understand what is needed? Can anyone help and explain to me. Thanks
 

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
