Formula needed

Hi All: I have the following data set.
1101010
1101010
1101010
1101020
1101020
1101030
1101030
1101040
1101040
1101040

I need a formula that will count each instance once even if it is repeated so in this sample the formula should give a result of 4 because I want to count 1101010, 1101020, 1101030, and 1101040. Can someone please help.

Using B as a helper column

=IF(COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1)>1,0,1)

then total col B

=SUMPRODUCT(--(FREQUENCY(A1:A100,A1:A100)>0))

Try this array formula ~

Lets say your data starts at cell A2 and ends at Cell A11

=SUM(1/COUNTIF(A2:A11,A2:A11))

When you enter this array formula hold down shift + control and press enter.
