I have a list of names in a column. If a name is repeated 3 times or more and is between a 3 month period, alert me in some way.

The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).

i dont know how your sheet is setup but the below will search for names listed in A1:A19 and if repeated 3 times will say red otherwise say ok

=IF(COUNTIFS(A$1:A$19,A2,A$1:A$19,A2,A$1:A$19,A2)=3,"red","ok")

hope this starts :) if you can provide more info ill be able to help more
