Please Help:
In cell C8 is the number 385 which is total minutes per day. I am trying to convert 385 to total hours and minutes in C9 which should come out to
6 hours and 42 minutes. I am using the formula =convert(C8,”mn”,”hr”).
I have cell C9 Custom formatted as h:mm.
The answer in C9 comes up as 0:06

What am I doing wrong? I want to show hours and minutes?

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Shouldn't 385 minutes convert to 6 hours and 25 minutes?

You have two choices depending on if you want a real time value or text.

Real: =C8/1440 and format the cell [h]:mm

Text: =TEXT(C8/1440,"[h]:mm")

"mn" first should be correct
support.microsoft.com said:
CONVERT(number,from_unit,to_unit)

but when i use it i get 10:00 for some reason instead of 0:06

in any case i dont think using CONVERT will be able to give you hours and minutes
you can try use
=QUOTIENT(C8,60)&":"&MOD(C8,60)
which should give you 6:25

Rick,

I have tried both formulas and both return as 0.00?

Cell C8 is formatted as minutes [m] does this matter?
