formula text in cell instead of being calculated

hi all,

I have random cells that are apparently doing this:

I can't at all figure out why it's doing it. The setting for all cells that are doing this is "standard" for data type of the cell.

Can someone give me a hint here please? and thanks!

Try formatting the cell as General then re-entering the formula.

that worked fine.

can I do that with all the other cells in one fell swoop by highlighting? or does the re-entry of the formula need to be done?
