I have a spreadsheet with numerous work orders that are separated by a date ranges. Cell A1 contains the date range “From 8/01/11 To 8/05/11”. Directly below this cell contains data: A2 – job number B2 – State Abbr C2 Work order number and so on. The data stops at the next date range “From 8/01/11 To 8/12/11 and the process starts again.

I want to insert a column in A that would recognize and place the date range next each corresponding job number and automatically change at each data range. Any suggestions?
