Hello, I am not sure if this possible but I am trying to input a formula that will count the number of occurrences based on the time of day.

I have created a chart that identifies the time of day a crash occurred for a delivery company and now I want count the occurrences in 2 hour intervals. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Time Column: has the time in 24 hour clock (i.e. 08:30)

Formula should be able to count occurrences between 08:00 - 10:00 etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.

When people say "between" what they usually mean is greater than or equal to 8:00 and less than or equal to 10:00.

If that's what you mean then what would the next interval be? It can't be greater than or equal to 10:00 because you now have an overlapping time.

So, you need to better define your time intervals.

Also, what version of Excel are you using?

Sorry, I am still fairly new to using these forums. I am using Excel 2003 and the time intervals I would like to use are:

00:00 - 02:00, 02:01 - 04:00, 04:01 - 06:00 etc...

I figured this would be the best way to break up the day in 2 hour intervals.

Thanks again,
