Hello everyone,
Here is my question. I have a workbook with two sheets that i am working on. On sheet 1 I have a list of items that I am adding up. Each of these figures, aside from the sum, I am manually typing in. On sheet 2 there is a similar scenario. What I want to do is to write a formula so that if the value I type into the first sheet (that will be part of the sum on the first sheet) does not match the sum of sheet 2 it will say false in the adjacent box. (ex. if h2 on sheet 1 does not match the sum of sheet 2 the box h3 on sheet 1 will say false, but would also say true when it does match)

Thanks to all you experts,
Dan K.

how about

h3 =exact(sheet1!h2,sheet2!h2) assumming that the sum on sheet2 is in H2

when sheet1!h2 = sheet2!h2 then it will say TRUE
when sheet1!h2 <> sheet2!h2 then it will say FALSE
