 My boss has asked me to use Excel to automatically created percentages which is fine. But the data is text - e.g. a B, I or A ionstead of numbers.
Is there a way of getting Excel to work out the number of each letter and then convert to percentages?
My boss thinks I can do anything on Excel.

Excel Facts

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Does this help at all? If not, what numerical value should be assigned to each letter?

AB
1B2
2I9

Hi basically the spreadsheet has to show children's achievement levels so B = below, I = inline and A = above.
My boss wants to be able to enter either B, I or A and then get an auto calculation of the percentages.
So basically I just want to be able to count the number of letters in a column.
