Formulas are showing in some cells

Formulas are showing in some cells for no apparent reason and are not calculating. Has anyone come across this problem previously and found a reason for this?

Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Yes, Excel can be annoying at times when it does this.

Click on the cell and Format, choose General

Then click on the Insert Function Icon to bring up the Function Arguments box

Click OK and your formula result should be displayed.
