I have a big chart with lots of info on it.
It seems like none of the formulas are functioning.

Like one area I have:
$7,082.09
$9,372.06
$10,056.56
$10,612.63
$10,812.76
$10,739.92
$10,905.47

and the next cell underneath is the formula:
=SUM(AA5:AA11)

I have to select the cell, then in the input field, have to select that, then hit enter or tab for it to recalculate.
I have set all cells that have formulas to locked and hidden.

Any help would be great.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Have you made sure that Calculation mode is set to Automatic? Tools > Options > Calculation tab, or from the Ribbon, Option settings.

Your calculation is likely set to manual. Depending on your Version, locate the option to select automatic recalculation (Tools | Options | Calculate Tab in earlier versions; Windows button | Excel options at bottom of drop-down | Formulas | Calculation Options) section, and your problem should be solved.
Hope this helps...Larry.

Thanks for your help. +1
I got worried there for a second.

Happy to ease the worry. Likely source of problem is opening a file that has calculation set to manual. My experience is that it's a one-way trip to manual recalc...it won't snap back to automatic when you move on to other files. So "heads-up" when formulas don't seem to be working!
Larry.

Well I went to work to check on that option and it was set to auto.
But this time everything was working fine. Just weird.
