Just a friendly suggestion.. heh :stickouttounge:

Section ""Excel Questions" could be broken into separate sections for at least:

Excel Charts
Excel VBA
etc..

or a few sections like that..

why?

-Because currently posts get pushed down the line too quickly because of the huge amount of daily posts, it is hard to keep track of an interesting post.

- ease of navigation

- so others can find posts quicker to answer them.

Cheers

Hi FishingIsMoreFun,

This has been discussed plenty of times previously, most recently here

The Pro's and Con's have been discussed, but it's something that can't really be implemented here ;)

Best way to track an interesting post is to select Thread Tools (I think) and subscribe to the thread, then you can track it either via e-mail notification (if selected) or via your subscribed threads

Hmm ok, I was thinking along the lines of the VBulletin software being able to simply create extra sub sections.

Is an interesting forum never the less.

Definitely an active and interesting web resource.

Cheers

Yes, I think this was covered in a previous thread (I can't find it now) but I know there are lots of instances of crossover so it's been left as a more open environment :)

It certainly is! Hopefully see you around! A slightly belated Welcome as well, I forgot in my first reply!

Also you can actually create your own folders and move your subscribed threads to those folders. It makes it easier to search your archive once you've build up a number of subscribed threads.

Hi Jon
create your own folders and move your subscribed threads to those folders
Is that within Mr Excel ??....and if so, how ?

Pardon my bad manners.....I'd better add a "please" to that last line !!

Re: Excel Questions Forum Moves at Almost the Speed of Light ??

Hi Michael

CREATING NEW FOLDERS
Click User CP (control panel)
Scroll down to the Subscriptions section and click 'Edit folders'
From there you can add new folders, up to 3 at a time.

MOVING SUBSCRIPTION TO A DIFFERENT FOLDER
Depending on your settings, when you reply you are automatically subscribed to the thread (this is a default setting). So to move that subscription to another folder:
Open the desired thread.
In Thread Tools choose 'Unsubscribe from this Thread'
In Thread Tools choose 'Subscribe to this Thread'
Choose the desired folder before confirming the subscription.

Hope this helps.
