I have an excel workbook file (xxx.xlsm) which tracks the books I have read.
each separate worksheet is an author I am following c/w list of books by that author.
over 50 Worksheets in workbook
Was trying to set up an index of the worksheets c/w "go to Sheet" link in the index to speed up my updates of the books I have read.

Trying to follow instructions for this as per:

How to Create an Index in Excel

When I get to entering =INDEX(SheetNames,A3)
I get the error "Functions with XLM macros are blocked"
I am using Excel 365 on my personal computer - file stored in my assigned c drive directory

I see a message in Help that Excel 4 macros may not be supported. Is this the problem?
Is so is there another way of creating the index with "go to Sheet" links??
Thanks
Ronald

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Have a look at your File - Options - Trust Center - Trust Center settings - File Block settings (you might have to uncheck the Excel 4 options as well as the XLM option depending what you have)
