Generating CPE certificates from Excel into PDF with email merge?

Hi - We keep an attendance list/sign in sheet in Excel format. From Excel, we'd like to generate the attendance confirmations/certificates to be sent via email to the participants. Is there a way to create/save a PDF from Excel and do a mail merge into Outlook?

Thank you, but we actually use Excel 2003. Would this work for 2003??
