I have two workbooks.

Workbook 1 is called Summary and has a single sheet call Additional_Info

Workbook 2 is called Income and contains twelve sheets Jan, Feb, March etc....
on each sheet I have named range JanWS, FebWS, MarWS etc....

When I type the the month (lets say June) into cell B6 in Summary.xlsx sheet Additional_Info, I want to get the data from Income.xlsx sheet June cell Q17 and paste the data into Summary.xlsx sheet Additional_Info cell G2

Again when I type the the month (lets say Feb) into cell B6 in Summary.xlsx sheet Additional_Info, I want to get the data from Income.xlsx sheet Feb cell Q17 and paste the data into Summary.xlsx sheet Additional_Info cell G2

Any help would be appreciated

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.

MisterCrash Thanks.... getting there

It returns the value correctly

Can I add an additional arguement ?

When I type the the month (lets say June) into cell B6 in Summary.xlsx sheet Additional_Info, I then want to look up cell B2 in Summary.xlsx sheet Additional_Info, go to the Income.xlsx sheet June, look up the value from B2 that we got from Summary.xlsx sheet Additional_Info, get the info from cell Q2 of the Income.xlsx sheet and paste the data into Summary.xlsx sheet Additional_Info cell G2
