Hi there,

I need to understand how I can return the series collection number from a chart.

e.g. I select activechart.seriescollection(1) in a workbook and I need to retrieve that 1 in code. This would enable me to format the selected pie piece.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Steve

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
If you want to format the selected object, why not use Selection?

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure how to use that in my code. Could you write me a short line of example code that allows me to format the selected pie piece through vba?

Many thanks,

Steve

If you have already selected one segment:
Code:
selection.Interior.Color = RGB(255, 0, 0)
