Code:
filefilter:="Excel files *.xlsx (*.xlsx),")

is there a way I can expand this to include, say, xls (old format), xlsb, xlsm, etc?

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Try:
Code:
Excel Formula:
filefilter:="Excel files *.xls* (*.xls*),")
or
Excel Formula:
filefilter:="Excel files *.xl* (*.xl*),")

Hi,
try following & see if does what you want

VBA Code:
FileFilter = "Excel 2003 (*.xls),*.xls," & _
              "Excel 2007 > (*.xlsx),*.xlsx," & _
              "All Excel Files (*.xl*),*.xl*," & _
              "All Files (*.*),*.*"
