Getting distinct character values in a cell - Excel formula

Hi All,

I have a column of character values. I need to get the distinct characters in another column as shown below. (I have shown an example be
low, but I have around 1000 rows in my data)

Please help me out with any excel formula. I tried and got all the formulae for getting the unique values in a list but not from a single cell.

There must be an easier way, but.

I used text-to-columns to split each character to its own cell (a:f)

in row 5, cols h:k, the characters a, b, c, d one to a cell.

I had the first row of data in row 8,

So in H8 and filled along to k8.

=IF(COUNTIF($A8:$F8,H$5)>0,H$5,"")

then in m8,

=H8&I8&J8&K8
