WTF?
I have used this function happily for a while. I am just now using it for the first time in Excel 2007. However this time it doesn't work. So of course, I randomly check a couple of blank cells to see if in fact anything is in there (a space, etc.). And nothing. Formatting is General.

So a try it again and magically, those blank cells that I checked are now selected. Sure enough, all I have to do is select the cell and then click in the formula bar at the top (don't cursor around or use the arrows, just click in it) and then blam! Go To selects those cells.

Again I say WTF? This is exceedingly frustrating and I don;t want to have to select and click hundreds of blank cells to make it work.

Select the range where your blank cells could be before using GoTo. The easiest way to do this is to just select all (Ctrl+A) and then using GoTo.

I'm leaning towards the former comment. Gr. I was doing a global select and same thing. I even selected 4 cells where one was blank and I would get 'No cells were found'. It wasn't until I actually 1) selected the cell 2) clicked in the formula bar 3) hit enter/exited the cell. Just weird. I had hoped this had happened to somebody else before. *sigh*

Yup. Did that. New workwook and copied data into it (values only just in case) and same thing. Also opened up a new workbook and randonly typed stuff in with blanks (to see if it was my install or something ) and that worked. So there is something with the data that is just bizzaro...

try copy and paste values instead of full copy of data and see if it makes difference.

Yup. tried that too. Full sheet copy and a partial dataset copy, both as values only. I'll figure it out. If not, I got a lot of copying and pasting to do :(
