Google's take on array formulas

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
It doesn't really add any transparency, imo. I wonder if those dudes visit this site?

I noticed they fixed Sumproduct() to some extent. Speaking of obscure, are they document that thing, ever?

The kind of usage you're talking about, mostly what people use sumproduct for, I've only seen mentioned in the recent article on optimizing calculation speed. It discussed how SUMPRODUCT() is usually faster than its {SUM()} equivalent, and other options. Beyond that, nothing from MS.

Microsoft doesn't really document array functionality... I've only seen 3rd party testimony.

Still, I'm not convinced that it's that obscure, there are plenty of members here who know plenty about it, and a ton of posts on the subject.
