Graphing - customise whether the points should be connected by a line

Hi everyone,

I am plotting a XY scatter plot with straight line.

All I want to do is (within the same series):

if the points are close to each other, make a line to connect the points
if the point is far away from another point, do not connect any line to that point

is it possible to do it in Excel?

Problem solved.

Firstly display blanks as gaps.

Then use =NA() to fill the blanks for which to be connected by a line.
