Greater Than and Less Than

I need some help with a formula. What I need to do is look in column A to see if it is greater than or equal to a value but less than or equal to a value. If it is I need to add column b to the sum.

For example, If coulmn A is >= 40 and =< 90 then I need to add column B to the sum.

=SUMIF(A:A,">=40",B:B)-SUMIF(A:A,">90",B:B)

Add column B to the SUM of what?

It may look something like this:
=IF(AND(A1>=40,A1<=90),B1+...,0)
